WARNING

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS: Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have difficulty swallowing or if you have diabetes. If you experience sudden changes in bowel habits that have persisted for more than 2 weeks, have undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or have failed to defecate following the use of another laxative product, consult a health care practitioner before using this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement (e.g., opioids, loperamide). Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are experiencing abdominal pain, nausea, fever, or vomiting (these may be signs of abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the oesophagus and/or the superior opening of the stomach (cardia), potential or existing intestinal blockage, paralysis of the gut, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflamed bowel or appendicitis). If symptoms worsen or if constipation persists beyond 7 days of use, consult a health care practitioner. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder.

DOSAGE

Recommended use or purpose: Source of fiber for the maintenance of good health. Gently relieves occasional constipation and/or irregularity. Used in herbal medicine to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract, such as gastritis. Source of antioxidants. Provides antioxidants that help reduce oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Recommended dose: 1 serving, 1 time per day. For each serving, drink (or mix with) at least 150 mL of liquid. Take two hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products as the absorption of these products may be delayed.
